The number of appointments you ultimately need will depend on the length of your treatment and your specific case. The following appointments are part of every bestsmile treatment:

Aligners

Teens Aligner

1. First appointment for 3D scan and X-rays
2. Discussion of treatment plan
3. First Aligner appointment: treatment begins
4. Regular check-ups, depending on patient's situation and how the treatment progresses

6. Attachment of wire retainer
7. Post-treatment check-up

For teens under the age of 18, one parent or legal guardian needs to be present at the first and second appointment. Once treatment has begun, we will decide on a case-by-case basis whether further parental supervision is necessary. Furthermore, trained orthodontists will supervise the entire course of treatment.

Whether you're opting for Aligners or Veneers, every treatment at Profaligner starts with a 3D scan of your teeth.In this step, we create a digital model of your jaws using a high-end 3D scanner. This only takes a few minutes and is completely painless.Using the scan data as a basis, our dental technicians work together with our team of dentists to create your treatment plan – and your Aligners & Veneers.

Aligners

If you opt for an Aligner-based treatment, then at your second appointment we will show you how your teeth will move into their new position step by step with the help of a 3D simulation.

Regular follow-up appointments will take place with your Profaligner dentist. Your treatment progress will be monitored and documented. Every bestsmile treatment ends with a final check-up appointment.

Teens Aligner

Adolescents under age 18 also need to come to the bestsmile practice for regular check-up appointments. Usually these take place every 6 to 8 weeks.

The Dental Monitoring app supports the treatment between appointments using artificial intelligence; it can in parts replace in-person check-ups while also ensuring that the treatment proceeds according to plan.

We have a very high success rate at Profaligner. However, we cannot guarantee that the outcome will 100% match the predicted result. In some cases, revisions to the treatment/treatment plan are necessary in order to achieve the desired result.

If after treatment your end result does not match the predicted result shown on the treatment plan, you will receive further Aligners free of charge – until you are happy with the result.

For those under age 18, we offer the Profaligner Teens Aligner treatment. For treatment involving adolescents, we require a written consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian before the first appointment.
